Master of Science at Photonics

 Shahid Beheshti, Tehran, Iran

Feb. 2014-Sep. 2016

I was trained in Photonics, Plasma, and Laser-Plasma interactions for nearly three years during my master's program. I became proficient in the utilization of optical devices and elements, and gained hands-on experience in working with various laboratory equipment. My master's program also involved collaborations with other research laboratories, where I honed my skills in aligning complex optical setups. Working with lasers and conducting optical alignments became integral to my daily routine at the Laser and Plasma Research Institute (LAPRI).

Throughout my master's program, I acquired proficiency in C++ programming and utilized coding extensively, including for my thesis project. I also gained proficiency in two practical optical simulation software platforms: COMSOL Multi-Physics and Lumerical. Additionally, I developed expertise in Particle in Cell (PIC) simulations and mastered various numerical methods used to solve complex physical problems.

I was awarded a full scholarship that covered my tuition for the duration of my master's program.

My academic performance was exceptional, as evidenced by my thesis grade of 19.5 out of 20 and an overall GPA of 3.5 out of 4 upon graduation.
